Danelo was pronounced Guilty for 1st Degree Murder and was sentenced to life in prison without any possibility of Parole for the murder and brutal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend.
In August 2023, it was confirmed that Danelo had escaped from prison after a night camera at Longwood Gardens captured him escaping with a hooded sweatshirt and a duffel sling backpack. He escaped from the search perimeter of Pocopson Township and made his way to Longwood Gardens.

Investigators discovered that Brandao had committed another crime in Brazil by killing a man who owed him money. He was first apprehended in Virginia before going to trial in Pennsylvania. The outcome of his trial was a lifetime imprisonment sentence until he escaped in August 2023.
