Amy Yasbeck whose full name is Amy Marie Yasbeck, was born on the 12th of September the year 1962. She was born in Blue Ash, Ohio. She is the daughter of Dorothy Louise Mary who was a homemaker, and her father who goes by the name John Anthony Yasbeck. Amy’s father is a butcher and also owns a grocery store. Her father was from Lebanon and her Mother was from Irish ancestry. From a young age, she had already started featuring on package art for the Becky Crocker Easy-Bake Oven. In the year 2000, Amy was presented with a brand new Easy-Bake Oven on the show that’s known as I’ve Got a Secret. Here she was a regular panel member.

During the early days of her career, Amy made an appearance in Rockhopper, this was an unsold television pilot from the year 1995. She has had multiple guest-starring roles in numerous television shows which included Werewolf, Dallas, Spies, Murphy Brown, and China Beach.

Not only did she audition for the role of Elaine Benes on Seinfeld, but also played the role of Olivia Reed for a good four-month period between the years 1986 and the year 1987 on the long-running daytime drama that was known as Days of Our Lives. She played the leading role of the mermaid Madison in the Disney television film known as Splash, Too in the year 1988.

Amy also made an appearance once on the hit DCOS That’s So Raven. She played the role of the mother of the character Chelsea, the show first aired on the 22nd of September the year 2006.

Towards the end of the year 2007, plans came up with a potential That’s so Raven spin-off featuring Amy Yasbeck and Anneliese van der Pol. Anneliese is portrayed as Amy’s daughter with occasional appearances by Raven-Symone. The show was eventually canceled because of van der Pol signing onto a Broadway play and Amy wanted to take a break from acting and focus more on her family.

John Ritter and Amy Yasbeck were married on the 18th of September the year 1999. On the 11th of September the year 2003, John Ritter fell into a coma while he was rehearsing for the film 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. He was then rushed to the hospital by paramedics.

They thought that John was suffering from a heart attack until his death at 10:48 P.M. in the year 2003. The cause of his death was later determined to be an aortic dissection and the root cause was a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect.
