Lorne Michaels is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, film and television producer and screenwriter best known for; producing “The Tonight Show”, the “Late Night” series, and The Kids in the Hall”. He is also known for creating and producing “Saturday Night Live”. He has won 20 Primetime Emmys from 94 nominations, making him the most nominated individual in the history of the awards.

The character Dr. Evil, the villain in the “Austin Powers” films, has a speaking style and mannerisms based on Michaels. Dr. Evil was created and played by Mike Myers, who was partly influenced by Dana Carvey’s impression of Michaels on “Saturday Night Live”. Similarly, in The Kids in the Hall movie “Brain Candy”, the character Don Roritor was based on Mark McKinney’s impersonation of Michaels.
