Erin presented an investigative report that she collected from chemical giant Transammonia which does business in Iran. She then reported that a wholly-owned subsidiary of Transammonia that’s in the United States purchased ammonia directly from Iran.

On the 13th of December the year 2010, as a result of the CNBC report, Transammonia sent a press release to the congressional leaders stating that the entering of Transammonia’s Swiss subsidiary would not be allowed to enter into new contracts with an Iranian company. They also stated that they would wind down its business with Iran. This would take immediate effect “as soon as possible.” The following year, Erin’s investigative report got nominated for an Emmy.

Having spent more than five years with CNBC, Erin decided to leave the network on the 6th of May the year 2011. She later went ahead to join the rival news outlet popularly known as CNN.
