He then worked as a builder for the “Baeumler Quality Construction” and Renovations company. Baeumler founded the company after quitting his unprofitable air cargo business. In the year 2011, his company was able to launch as a homeowner aid that connected them with home service companies around Canada only. Bryan’s business and company caught the attention of HGTV and they hired him to pioneer various home design TV shows.

Baeumler’s career in television started with “Disaster DIY”, which aired from 2007 to 2011. He then starred in “House of Bryan” from 2010 to 2015, a series that showcased his family and their home-building projects. In the year 2012, he began hosting “Leave It to Bryan”, a home renovation show that ran until the year 2017. Next came “Bryan Inc.”, also known as “Renovation Inc.” in the U.S., which aired from 2016 to 2018.

His popular series Island of Bryan (renamed “Renovation Island” in the U.S.) started in the year 2019 and continues today. In 2023, he joined Scott McGillivray in “Renovation Resort” (a competitive renovation show), which premiered in Canada in the spring and the U.S. in the summer. In the year 2008, he was awarded a Gemini Award for “Best Host in a Lifestyle, Practical Information, or Performing Arts Program or Series” for his role as the host of the show “Disaster DIY”.
